The Ethiopian Ministry of Education just gave its authorization to Lycée Guebre Mariam to resume face-to-face teaching.
This authorization was issued after an examination by the Ethiopian authorities of the health protocol drawn up by the Lycée’s team. An important first milestone has therefore been reached. This protocol has also been validated by the school council on which the representatives of students’ parents sit. In accordance with the instructions of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic post has therefore just contacted the French authorities in order to obtain their agreement as well. Once this last authorization is obtained, we will get back to you very soon to inform you of the exact date of resumption of the face to face classes. We will also communicate to you the sanitary protocol which must be scrupulously respected by families, students and staff in order to preserve the health of all.
